PORT 32 Marinas and Acme Marinas have announced the strategic combination of their marina portfolios, creating one of the largest privately operated marina platforms along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts.
The combined organization now encompasses 17 premier marina locations with approximately 4,000 slips, significantly expanding PORT 32’s presence in key U.S. boating markets. The transaction adds several well-known destinations to the portfolio, including Martha’s Vineyard, Sag Harbor, Cape Cod, Annapolis, and Sanibel Island, while maintaining each property’s local identity and customer experience.
Austin Schell will continue serving as Chief Executive Officer of the combined company. Acme Marinas’ leadership will also remain involved, with Stephen Shaw assuming the role of Chief Investment Officer and Shelby Tucker serving as Chief Financial and Chief Administrative Officer.
According to the companies, the merger is intended to strengthen operational capabilities, increase geographic diversification, and support continued investment in premier waterfront assets across the United States.
The announcement follows continued growth initiatives by PORT 32, including the redevelopment of its Palm Beach Gardens marina, which is scheduled to open later this year.
As consolidation within the marina industry continues, transactions of this scale highlight the increasing institutional investment and long-term confidence in high-quality marina assets across North America.
